I hope I find you well!
This update is for all of those who have so graciously been following this EP series called “The Weightless Anchor,” and for all of those who I’ve connected with in some way thus far with this solo music. I wanted to take the time to tell why things have seemed a bit “slow” and why there hasn’t been an official release on EP 2 yet!
Music is supposed to be a release of self and something fresh, beyond making a profit. My goal has always been to release music that matters, and any time there is a bigger way to make that happen, I would like to look as close as possibly into that. I was approached by an independent label from Nashville who had sent me a contract and stuff, and initially I had planned on releasing with them, but something just wasn’t settling right. It took me a month to decide officially that I wasn’t ready for it, and thus, that has pushed the release back a bit. This reasoning on top of being in the holiday seasons has not combined well with someone who is also enrolled in school. It has been a task.
That being said, with no label involved and school coming to a close this semester, I’ll be focusing a bit more on the release of ”The Weightless Anchor: By Train (II)” which I’m making the conscious decision to be Tuesday, January 7th, 2014!
You won’t have to wait that long to get new music though. As a part of the new year, comes a new breath of fresh air that I’m excited to be a part of with many artists called "The Revival". A collective focused on simply worshiping by making different music from what culture sees today. You can follow that more by clicking the link above. We will be releasing our own rendition of “Joy to the World” in the coming days for free, and hope you’ll make it a part of your Christmas playlists this season.
Thanks so much for everything you all have done thus far in support of myself and more importantly this music. I’m now working on the recording of EP 3, which more information will be released on soon, and more shows will be coming soon as well.
Thanks so much.
